6/13Winter Park Resort Opens for the Summer - Winter Park Resort's summer hours of operation are 10am through 5:30pm, 7 days a week, from June 13 through September 7, 2009 (Labor Day) – and the same hours weekends from September 12-27. Ticket windows open at 9:30am. The Zephyr Express Chairlift closes at 5pm, while other activities close at 5:30pm.

High Note Thursdays at Hideaway Park - Featuring the Quemando Band!  Quemando is a salsa band that performs both traditional and contemporary  salsa.  This 11 piece orchestra features powerful vocals from Columbian singer Kelly Rizo, and Robin Jerre from Peru, is accompanied by timbales, conga and bongo, as well as in your face four piece horn section.  Quamando was choosen as the closing act of Jazzfest Denver last year, and rocked the sobo festival.

7/4Geocaching - Geochaching is a world-wide, high tech scavenger hunt!  This growing sport has participants of all ages hunting for over 820,000 caches in nearly every city, town, and ski slope around the world.  It is the activity of using a GPS handheld device to locate hidden caches or treasure boxes containing treasure, usually toys or other little trinkets.  Winter Park Resort boasts over 3 dozen hidden caches on and around the mountain ranging from easy (green) to difficult (black diamond).  GPS rentals are available at the Winter Park Resort rental shop in the village for $10 per day.. 
7/44th of July Fireworks Train - 4th of July Fireworks Train is bigger and better than ever!  Combinging a great cowboy BBQ and viewing Georgetown's fireworks show from high up the Devil's Gate high bridge is a great way to celebrate the holiday.  The train sells out quickly so reserve early.  For more information visit www.georgetownlooprr.com
